Fallen Pistils
Every year I'm amazed at the beauty that is present in each stage of the spring season. The street is peppered with a uniform covering of maple pistils that all fell overnight, as if an internal alarm clock sounded and the tree knew it was time for the next stage of life.
Snow Smiles
Not a flake too many or a flake too less.
Cold but not bitter.
I'm continually amazed and thankful when something as simple as a light snowfall can make me feel giddy and put a smile on my face.... and my truck
Snow Storm Devastates Hillsdale Flamingo Population
The birds didn't have a chance and were frozen solid in mid-flight. Of course, the're plastic lawn flamingos and can't fly very well to begin with so I guess they were doomed from the start.
Many of the trees were in the early stages of dropping leaves and were torn limb from limb by the heavy wet snow fall. Irene should have taken care of most of the weak limbs but it just goes to show the power of snow shouldn't be underestimated.
The Intoxicating Smell Of Easter
The scents in the air are sweet,
Soothing vapors wake a sleeping world.
It stirs me deep inside my soul,
Reminding me of my place and season.
